ClearRoute Pilot (“ClearRoute”, “the app”, “we”) is an electronic flight bag that displays aeronautical charts, weather, terrain, and related advisory information for situational awareness. This policy describes the data the app handles and how it is used.
Advisory use only. ClearRoute is not certified for navigation. Always use official sources and approved equipment for flight operations.
We use the information solely to provide and operate the app’s features — authentication, charts, weather, hazards, terrain, route briefings, and support. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
The app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. It contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not use the device Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
Your authentication token is stored securely in the device Keychain. App preferences (such as map settings) are stored locally on your device. Information exchanged with our servers is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS (TLS).
The app retrieves aeronautical data (charts, weather, NOTAMs, and terrain) from our servers, which in turn derive from public U.S. government sources including the FAA, NOAA/National Weather Service, and USGS. Where you choose to generate an AI route briefing, the route and weather context is processed by a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) only to produce the briefing summary; it is not used to train models.
Account and feedback information is retained while your account is active. To request access to, or deletion of, your information, use our support form.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
